Vonn Bell Recruitment

  • Given that it takes a good bit more time and effort to recruit a highly ranked player as opposed to a 3 star player. Does anyone believe the vols coaching staff has given up on Vonn Bell. It doesn't make sense that coach Jones and coach Graham have not made an in home visit. I believe this kid is in the same group as Eric Berry and Carl Pickens, and I hope the coaches make every effort to recruit him to Tennessee.

  • I think the staff had to keep our current recruits, and visit with the EE this week... With that said we had 4 coaches in the Ga. Dome yesterday, we obviously want him, but we are at least behind Bama right now and possibly Ohio State. The longer this drags out I like our chances. But right now he is very comfortable with Saban and Kirby.

    like drizzle said if we can drag this out until signing day and get Bell on campus and comfortable with our staff we might steal him. Doesn't look good right now but this staff definitely hasn't given up on him.

    Glad to hear we at least had coaches there yesterday. Saw that Urban was there too and that made me nervous. Do you know who it was? I would imagine Graham, but not sure who else is recruiting him. Hopefully Jones can get some time now that the staff is all hired to go to Bell with a good pitch. He's got a lot of ground to make up, but like you said, I would think we still have a shot if we can keep it dragging out and get him on campus again.
