Looking at our schedule for next season it is obviously very tough. How much money would it cost Dave Hart to buy out the Oregon game? IMO that makes great business sense because adding an easier winnable game gives this team time to gel and the distinct possibility of going to Florida next year 3-0 and brimming with confidence.
Yalls thoughts?

I respect what both y'all said but I was at Neyland for the hurricane that forced the evacuation and then witnessed the hurricane that was Oregons offense from the 2nd quarter onward. I was pissed when we bought out the UNC game last year but we haven't beaten Florida in 8 years. We have a chance to swallow some pride and get to 3 wins and build confidence before going down there to shock them. JMO but I think this makes perfect sense and we play Oregon in future when we matchup better at one of the early season neutral site games. But I respect where both of y'all are coming from

I see it the opposite. We really gain by playing Oregon whether we win or lose. If we win then we really have the confidence going into Florida, but if Oregon beats us then we get a better idea of how good we really are, and where we need to focus our attention heading into SEC play. I hope we never run scared from a big game again!
