Not to mention I hate the up-temp offense. It won't work with this team. With our horrible defense we have to shorten games, not give the other team more possessions. I think this will backfire on Butch. Brian Kelly learned the hard way and made adjustments this year. i hope it doesn't take Butch 3 years of losing to make adjustments.
IMO, Auburn, Mizzou and Vandy will determine if we go 7-5, 6-6, or 5-7, assuming we win at least one of them. Those are the toss up games. I think the 5 big games you have to count as losses to begin the season and hope for the best. There is just no way anyone can justify thinking there's a realistic shot at beating any of those 5 teams. If it happens great, but I'm not going to consider it during discussions such as this one.
With the recent hirings in CFB, the WKU game scares me the most now. Butch CANNOT lose that game.
I just hope we get to 6 so we can see our Vols in the postseason for a change.
The scariest part of all is that I'm afraid of these same expectations, or worse, for 2014. Has anyone else noticed the lineman on both sides of the ball that we will lose after next year? We will not return one starter on either line in 2014 unless an injury occurs next year that forces us to play a younger guy. 2014 could be worse than next year.
