The dude is never happy. Guess that's what makes him a good coach. I think it also makes him look a little silly.

I disagree that it makes him look silly... the man wins, and that is what every fan base wants.
*I am not defending Alabama as I am not ready to relinquish my subscription... I was just defending Nick Saban in this instance

Coaches and pundits talk, winners just do the walk! Glad the SEC wins again as it was getting old hearing all the Notre Dame junk that they're back and they had a tough schedule etc. Hey Irish: Welcome to the SEC! Now here is hoping we are beginning our climb out of mediocrity! Go VOLS!

Guys like Saban aren't wired like you and me. He will never be satisfied and never rest on his laurels. That is how driven and successful people are. It's not about the last victory, it's about the next challenge. He knows that Texas A&M will be better next year as should Arkansas and Ole Miss although losing 9 non-seniors should cause LSU to fall back a bit. He also knows that with Murray coming back Georgia will be a beast next year - probably ranked in the top 3 and easily favored to win the East. It's the SEC, you keep getting better or you end up 5-7 and out of a bowl game and looking for a new coach.

By "silly" I meant that everyone knows he's pleased with the outcome of the game, and his recruiting class is ranked #1. So for him to act like he isn't pleased, is just, well, silly. I know he doesn't want anyone to get complacent, but C'mon man! Can't you act happy for just one night after you've won the national championship for the second year in a row?

He is a great coach, maybe the greatest of all time, and will probably surpass the former greats by far....
Wonder why he dosen't make his "Next Challenge" the NFL.... where he failed ...... seems like that would be more of a real challenge......
Maybe he only likes challenge to a certain extent..... where the odds are stacked in his favor....
