Do you ever watch HS football up there? I'm actually a graduate of North Pole high school and played with a kid by the name of perry Monzulla who had some major programs recruiting him, there's actually a junior WR from North Pole by the name of lance wright that's getting some big time attention, might be worth checking him out or giving him a google search sometime, he's got big time talent.

Btw I became a huge vol fan moving to TN to play Juco baseball, although my dad is a Nashville native so I guess orange has been in my blood all along.

It's hard for me to watch local high school football in Alaska, for a few reasons. The main reason is the ridiculously short season. This past season started on August 10 and ended on September 29. The playoffs ended on either October 12/13 or October 20, depending on classification. For someone used to football in the South (where the playoffs don't even begin until November), it's just far too compressed for my liking, almost as if the NFL played a half season of games and limited playoff berths to just the NFC and AFC Championships. I know North Pole made it to the playoffs this year, but dropped in the first round. I know some people in North Pole, so I might call them up and see what they know about that player.

When I was in college, I flew through SeaTac all the time. Back then I actually liked the airport, but oddly enough I can't stand the place now that they have completed all the renovations to the concourses. Call me crazy, but my four favorite airports are Salt Lake, Atlanta, Phoenix (Sky Harbor), and Minneapolis. I hate O'Hare, DFW, and Houston - all of them have serious traffic control issues once you're on the ground (or trying to leave it). When I fly down to Tennessee now, it's generally Anchorage-SLC-ATL-Tennessee.
