Has there been a team in history as bad as Auburn, two years removed from being the Champs? I think they finish 2-10.

Which team do you think will be "relevant" first: Cubs or UT? The more I think about it, I am leaning toward the Cubs...I think UT is at least 2 years away from being really good, IF the reset button is not pushed...

Tennessee sports overall is 2-6 when I am in attendance, covering three sports. Should I stop attending? Am I the problem?
Defense Saturday appeared to be okay covering unless asked to adjust to motion. Do we stand a chance against a team like Mizzou that will throw it eleventy billion times? Would you expect future opponents to try and motion across the formation I ruin Tennessee's world?
Ever play Football Manager?
What should I do tomorrow? Work is the wrong answer.

Yikes. I'm not going to assume Da'Rick behaves, so I'll toss that one aside and say ... CP, because of his versatility. But Hunter's going to be an excellent pro, IMO.

Depends on the kind of story.
Day to day stuff, I love Dan Wetzel.
Feature stuff ... I love the old SI tandem of S.L. Price and Gary Smith.
I love lots of sportswriters, though. I love 'em like fans love athletes. They're my heroes. I love reading lots of people.
My two favorites in Tennessee have always been Gary Lundy (my hero as kid, and I still miss him) and Geoff Calkins. Mark Wiedmer in Chattanooga is one of my favorite people in the world, too, and he's a great writer.
I could name sportswriters all day. Sally Jenkins is also phenomenal. So are many, many others.
Getting to meet some of the sportswriters I read all the time as a kid has been one of my favorite parts about what I do. Sharing a press box with them never gets old to me.
