I remember when y'all supported my trolling Wes.

    Those were the days.

    I still support it. Whole-heartedly.

I know there will be at least two of them, but you didn't answer my question: Which ones? In other words, who are you high on this year from that below-average Cubs team?

Probably Edwin Jackson and Ian Stewart.

I think Stewart is finally healthy and could really have a bounce-back season of sorts, though.

  • 1. Ever been to a Predators game?
    2. With Chris Carpenter pretty much retired, I need a new favorite Cardinals player. Since I am a nice guy, I thought I'd let you pick. Who's your least favorite Cardinals player at the moment (keep in mind that whomever you pick will become my new favorite)? biggrin

I love the way you wrote that. As a Cardinals fan, I would recommend Adam Wainwright, Yadier Molina or Jon Jay. Wainwright is the obvious choice. You won't find many dominant pitchers who are as likeable as he is, and he already has reserved a spot in Cardinals history by recording the clinching strikeouts in Game 7 of the 2006 NLCS (a classic against Carlos Beltran) and Game 5 of the '06 World Series. And it's hard not to like Molina, who's the best catcher in the game.

But the darkhorse candidate here may be Jay. I would say he's one of the most underrated outfielders in baseball. He's quietly developed into a solid leadoff hitter who consistently hits about .300, and he played surprisingly good defense in center field last year, making a number of highlight-reel catches. He's the type of scrappy player the Cardinals have become known for producing over the years, but he's also productive in pretty much every facet of the game.

Agree tntoak. You know what would really troll ol' Wes? Pictures posted by ADunc of herself and maybe a couple of Wes that the board could write captions for. Board Members?

    Obviously Starlin and Rizzo.

I think that Ian Stewart is going to surprise people now that his wrist is healthy once and for all.

Starlin and Rizzo probably are going to be cheap keepers in our league, so they won't be available in the auction. But you're right that those guys are two of the few reasons to watch that team this year.

  • As much we as the TN fanbase concentrate on Stokes and Maymon as the star players, this team really goes when Golden is playing well. Is he the piece that makes that much of a difference between being a good or a meh team? Or is it still Maymon?
