I'll take the first crack at it. Ok, Wes, what kinds of beers do you like? Are you more of a traditional lager man, or do you like trying different beers like belgian wheats or IPAs, etc? Part of what makes living in Chattanooga so great is that we have plenty of bars down here to try different beers, like Taco Mac, Hair of the Dog, etc, and it's one of my favorite things to do here, even tho it costs $$$$. Which, I'm sure you've had plenty of those experiences. Oh and one last question. Have you ever been to BrewFest down here? love brewfest!

I heart beer. All different types, except most stouts. I love going to microbrew stores and picking up different kinds. I love the build-a-six-pack option.

BrewFest in Chattanooga was AWESOME. I miss it.

are you guys at 247 going to have or get any passes inside the milton gates for practice coverage?

have you heard any plans from inside ut to promote with espn?

We have the same media access for practice as every other outlet. We watch them stretch and do a couple of individual periods, then they boot us out until the end of practice, when we come back for interviews.

I have not heard of any such plans, but UT doesn't always tell us what they're doing or what they're planning.

  • Harry Caray, Tony La Russa, or Bear Bryant? If you had to go shot for shot with one of them who would you pick?

Wes, In reading R.A. Dickey's book, he said when he got to spring camp with the Mets (a couple years ago), he was the first one they sent packin' to the minor league system. When he got there, he was told they had a strict code of not allowing facial hair. He either had to shave his beard, that he had since 2004, or give up the dream. He chose to shave the beard. What would you have done?

I probably wouldn't choose to sign with any company/organization that had a facial hair policy, and I'd fight it. But especially if I had a wife and kids, I would shave.

how much would it take to let mccullers tackle you? 10k....100k? what if it were charity?

Not that much money ... if I get pads.

The LBs and DEs would bother me more than anyone. They have size and speed. Their hits have to hurt the most. That's some serious force.

When's the last time you took off, and did not have to answer anything on the site for 24 hours?

Even on vacation, we check the site. Not as much when we're on vacation, but we're programmed to check in all the time. Last week for a couple of days was the most time I've ever stayed away, but I still at least looked in a few times per day.

    Paul.

    He makes me laugh.

And he could always go find more listeners. They're like moths to a flame with him.

What kind and brand of socks do you wear? You can tell alot about a man from his socks....

I mostly wear flip flops in the summer, but on days I have to wear shoes, I'm a Puma guy all the way, for the most part. Their shoes and socks are the best of any athletic brand. They look the coolest and they feel the best. I have white, black and gray ankle/no-shows, depending on which shoes I'm wearing. Socks that don't match your shoes are one of my least favorite things on the planet. Drives me nuts.

For dress socks, I'm less picky, but I like Polo stuff and wear a lot of it. Classic. Comfortable. Durable. Never goes out of style. Ammur'can.

In a terrible paint related accident Ariana gets her hair turned black. Is the love still there, or does the flame of love dwindle and die like the locks of her hair which once had been so fiery themselves.

I would paint it back, with hair dye or spray paint or real paint.

Her hair is a beautiful gift from God, and she's not coloring it or cutting it super short. End of discussion.

Which road game trip are you looking forward to the most this fall? the least? and why?

Athens, Starkville, Columbia SC, or Nashville

I actually like all of those road trips. Starkville isn't as bad as most people suggest. Good people, good food, a little flat but not OHMYGOSHNEBRASKA flat.

I have friends in all those places. I like all those trips.

    1. How many onside kicks do you think Dooley will call this year? 2. Do you see Justin Hunter returning to special teams to block kick attempts this year?

    1. Depends on the situation. He always have some "stuff" going into every game, and he uses it when he sees an opportunity or thinks the team needs a spark. It's impossible to have an educated guess ... but what they hell. I'll say two.

    2. If he's healthy, I would use him. But I'm not around him every day to get a great feel for how healthy he is. UT needs to win this season. If he's cleared, I'd use him any way I could use him (or anyone else) to win a game.
