Nice update as always. We're down to the final days and I believe as a whole, we'll do fine. Maybe not a dream class, but alot of our needs will be addressed. The DL , a quick RB, nice QB, great receivers, and a couple of very good DBs. I really enjoy recruiting, but will be glad when NSD is over. Bet staff will be also. Thanks Ryan.

Santos is gone

Getting Kirvin would take some of the sting off losing Santos. I'm still not sold that he is gone. He and OBrien talk a lot and were going to be roommates. Hopefully ole Danny boy can get in his ear between his Tx visit and NSD.

At this point, it would appear to be a major coup to hang on to Santos. His life-long passion for the Longhorns and assumed pressure from his parents may be too much to overcome. Add in the fact that Tennessee does not have the best history in the NCAA with Texas players, it would appear to be a foregone conclusion that he will sign with Texas on Wednesday.

ON THE OTHER HAND, he has remained committed to Tennessee throughout the coaching staff upheavals; he developed a very nice rapport with Coach Sunseri, Coach Joseph has been a constant; he has developed friendships with possible future teammates like O'Brien; he has been impressed with the campus and East Tennessee; and he is being provided the "star" treatment in Big Orange Country more-so than in Texas, where he should realize he is a fall-back.

The young man has a very difficult decision pending and I hope he chooses to be a VFL. If he comes to Big Orange Country, it will be a testament on Coach Dooley's tenacity and the rebuilding plan will take a big step forward. If he follows his heart to Texas, we need to wish him well and get ready to welcome the other talented athletes to Big Orange Country that are going to put Tennessee back to prominence!

Shhhhhh now...Let's all just relax now and see how everything works out on Wednesday. No need for unsubstainiated speculation at this point. The die has been cast. The coaches have worked the road hard and now it is simply up to these fine young men to decide where they want to go. Let's just hope they realize that there is no more special of a place than Big Orange Country....Go Vols!...I'll hang up and listen to your comments...

totally agree with you but hope that somehow we can hold onto Santos in the end ; if he has decided to go elsewhere i just hope he lets the coaching staff know something soon so maybe we can replace him by Wed signing day . Wish the kid good fortune where ever he ends up

Amen my brother!! The real game is the game of life. These kids would look great in Vol Orange, but we need to wish them well as you said very well! If they were our kids we would in the end want them to go to the school that fits them and that is what we all should want! If UTOrange dont fit them, dont want them to wear it!
