IMO we aren't even CLOSE to Bama, LSU, UF and UGA. I think it will be at least 3 years until we can compete with those teams. We can say we have a full roster now which is good, but it's not very talented after this year...

OL- Until we push teams around it is just average
DL- A+ We have thrived here, and IMO it is what will give this team hope. Very excited for the future DL
LB- Horrible behind the top guys
CB- ?
S- Average
K/P- Horrible

I just don't think there is a whole lot to look forward to. Dooley has gotten stability to this team, which AT THAT TIME was most important. But now we need to expand and get more talent. Our defense, particularly the Back 7 doesn't have a lot of talent minus AJ and Maggitt.

Our program lacks that excitement factor. We had like 75K people in the stands last week, and we haven't won a big game in a long time.

8-4 with a bowl win to take us to 9 would be very beneficial moving forward and could possibly be worthy of an extension (Not IMO Tho) But if we go 7-5 or worse, I think you HAVE to make the change. We will have to answer the same questions all off-season, and let's face it, High Profile recruits don't want to go to an unstabile program. If we keep Dooley when we go 7-5 we will just be that much further from competing with Florida, Georgia, Alabama.

Win this week and EVERYTHING changes. Funny how that is but it's true. I'll pull for Dooley and this team every game, but I just don't see this program getting to be a National Title Contender anytime soon, and that is the ultimate goal. Go Vols!
