Is this list of recruits the level of talent we need to compete at the top of the sec:
Travon Landry
AJ Davis
Derek Reese
Armani Moore
D'montre Edwards
Quinton Chievous
Yemi Makajola
Dwight Miller
Josh Richardson
Wes Washpun (I know he left)
That is 10 of the 12 players Zo has signed. Stokes is a top talent and Hubbs will be as well.

This will not be a popular statement I am sure but IMO Stokes is not a top talent. He is a beast of a kid at his age but he is nowhere near a 5 star talent at this point in his career.

Regressed, and I agree. Some of the onus of being great is on the player. Not sure how much more Martin can do. You have to take some things on yourself

We need stokes to play well....not only to win, but it will not be good if we finally got a top player out of Memphis and their career flopped at Tennessee.

What is really frustrating about the situation is that he shows flashes of top talent, but has yet to string it all together and consistently perform at a high level.
Did he play too much in the preseason and now he's burnt out? Is he so mentally fragile that the loss of Maymon sucked the life out of him? Is he just in a rut? Is he thinking too much, causing him to be a step slow, ala our O-line under Heigstand?
I don't know the answer as to why he cannot consistently put it together, but I hope he can figure it out.

I think he tries to play too much like a guard. He gets the ball and tries to dribble. He has a nice jumper not sure why he used it as a Freshman and seldom shoots it now. He needs to go watch Jared Sullinger tapes from his college days
