Lane Kiffin left "unexpectedly" and we had a new coach in 72 hours. Of course, it was a really bad hire, but interviews, etc happened quickly.

We've heard a lot from UT admin that makes it sound like the search is just starting, no backchannelling from Hart, etc. Almost like Dooley was "unexpectedly" fired.

1) I would think Hart had an idea he may have to make a coaching change and had done some homework behind the scenes well before the Sunday after Vandy. In his PC, Hart sounded confident he could make a good hire (i.e. basically ruling out Kirby Smart, etc). Do you think Hart had been doing some work behind the scenes and the talk about the search just starting is just profressional courtesy to Derek Dooley?

2) I know most are saying mid December, Dave Hart mentioned wanting something done in December, etc, but could you see something happening quickly? Like next monday or tuesday? Urban Meyer was announced at OSU last year on 11/28/11. With the looming dead period coming 12/17, I wouldn't think we want this going into mid December. Poop or get off the pot Gruden.
