Call me crazy, but I've always thought they should have a Super Bowl in Neyland. Great atmosphere and a 103,000 seat capacity would appeal to me if I were an NFL coach. But keep the power T at midfield and the end zone art. Just imagine Peyton pulling a bootleg and running through the checkerboard again...

I would think it's more of the airport situation than the Hotel situation in Knoxville. There seems to be plenty of hotel rooms around Knoxville as compared to Birmingham. The difference is Birmingham has an International Airport that is much larger than McGhee Tyson.
When I drive up for games the price of a hotel room stays fairly inexpensive in Knoxville. Try finding hotel space in Auburn or Tuscaloosa it's almost $300 a room on a game weekend with a 2 night minimum.
