Which game (of any importance) would Hart want played at a neutral site? Tennessee participating in the kickoff in Atlanta makes sense...big, almost local media market, Friday night prime time. But without some other rivalry or regional significance, how would the program truly benefit from a game vs. Mizzou in Memphis or vs. LSU in the Superdome?
Adding another SEC game to the mix would certainly up the ante on challenge, but I'd want to see that reflected across the conference.

If the truth is told the entire metro Knoxville area is better the days following a UT win. Several years ago some churches in Knoxville compared notes or did some sort of study or survey about attendance and giving on Sundays after a football game on Saturday. The study showed that on Sundays after a Vol win attendance was up and people gave more. On Sundays after a loss the churches reported lower attendance and giving.
Tennessee football might not be the drink, but it's the straw that stirs a lot of drinks in Knoxville and the surrounding areas.
That said, the most interesting part of this piece to me was the fact that there hasn't been a new dorm built on campus in more than 40 years. But when you think of it, the last dorms built where the dorms in Presidential Complex, Morrill Hall and Andy Holt Apartments and that was in the late 1960s or early 1970s.
When I was a freshman in 1976 those dorms seemed so new, but that was 36 years ago and they aren't new any longer.

By the way, I posted a long time ago advocating a nine game SEC schedule with one conference game for each team being played at a neutral site. I think it is a great idea and would be good for the SEC.

thanks Wes. really great work here. I think Mr. Hart does indeed have a solid plan and is doing an excellent job. I know some folks might think differently but, I feel as though he is doing very well.
