Its not a stupid question until you ask it.
Strong is the guy. Definitely my top choice right now. He's known for great defenses. That's what we need. I think we could retain a lot of our offensive staff and be very successful on both sides of the ball next year. I'm really excited about this possibility.
Wes/Ryan: Can anyone tell me what seems to be the hesitancy with Strong and UT at this point? We keep hearing that he's not necessarily the top choice but to all us peons, he seems fairly logical. I'm just curious what's holding back Hart from loving this guy right now?
I am all in for Strong. He knows what it takes in the SEC and can recruit. I also like his interview today where he refused to talk about interviewing and then bashed the Louisville fan base for not coming to the games and not supporting him after a 10 win season. That just screams "Im ready to leave already." I also found it ironic that he said that and wants to come to Tennessee. He better win or we wont be at the games. Tennessee is known for leaving early.
Can someone shed some light for me on how much a fan base's desire for a certain coach matters? I mean, it's pretty obvious that a pretty healthy majority of Tennessee fans want Strong. So how much does that factor into Hart's decision if he is aware of that fact?
