Hire Fedora or Strong. Save a little cash and put it on the coaches, cordinators, they are just as important to winning games. A good defensive coach would have put us at least 7-5, maybe 8-4 this year. It takes a winning team of coaches to be succesful in the SEC right down to the strength and conditioning coach. And let us not forget a supportive fan base, not one who cries like babies when they don't get their way. (Their preferred coach) I prefer Fedora, but will support any of the top five mentioned and maybe somebody I never thought of.

Any of these candidates would be top-tier hires except for maybe Golden. In a few years, I'm sure he'll be fully proven in a couple of years, but it's still a bit too early for him. I'm just glad Tenn is having conversations with coaches of this caliber.

Says a lot about how far Tennessee came under Dooley even if the results on the field didn't pan out. I know that's unpopular but Tenn is desired like it should be at this point which wasn't the case when Kiffin or Dooley was hired. A coach always want to replace the guy who replaced the legend.
