Jimbo Fisher has been my top choice from Day 1 when I heard he might be in play for the job. He has done an excellent job at FSU. His first recruiting class in 2011 was No. 2 in the nation behind Alabama. Last year his class was No. 6. The guy can definitely recruit and I know some players at FSU and that are being recruited by Florida State that have nothing but good things to say about Fisher.
Florida State is about to win the ACC championship and that will give him 11 wins for the year, which I hate to remind everyone, is one more win than we've had the last two years.
Anyone watching the ACC championship game and noticing how many empty seats there are can easily understand why a football coach would want to be in a football conference like the SEC rather than a basketball league like the ACC.
