The info you gave on Gruden is a little distressing (i.e., if we had a shot and blew it). But then again, all of this is speculation as we will never know what both sides wanted if it does not happen. It'll just be boards full of what ifs... In any case, I am not closing the door on Gruden nor holding my breath. I just think back to Bama hiring Saban and how most of the country laughed at them, said there is no way (in fact Saban made a much more direct and explicit denial than Gruden did today), and so on. Until someone is hired, Gruden is always a possibility (though the Eagles possible opening could delay or mess things up). And until he officially accepts and gives a press conference, I will not believe it is possible either. Sound about right Wes?

I don't like that Gruden canceled the meeting but it could have been due to the leak this morning and him denying the report only to meet hours later. This could be a cover up to help save face. I hope this is the case and they will meet soon or I hope they met secretly anyways.
