We aren't where we should be, but I can't complain because of our current situation. We have to win. I have very little expectations for this class until we win 8 or 9 games. The staff just has to put in the ground work now,get players on campus, because we aren't going to get top guys to commit until Dooley's future is determinded.

Agree completely. I may be wrong but I think OP may have meant we are slacking not in the number of recruits, but on extremely highly rated guys. I don't think the 2 recruits we got last week necessarily blew anybody away. But again, you never know until they get on campus and play.

ESPN's initial recruiting rankings came out friday and we are not listed in their top 25 though Vandy is. One reason is they don't rank JC's and haven't evaluated two of our recruits. The four 4* players that have committed, by their rankings, are rated higher than any 4*'s we signed last year. In looking at how other sights are viewing our recruiting I know we are ahead of where we were last year at this time and actually doing better overall. I posted the ESPN rankings not to ruffle feathers from our wonderful and stupendous analyst over here but to just give some different opinion of how we are doing. Love this site but still am paying for ESPN as well for other sports. Patrick, Miles and Vereen all have 82 rankings, followed by Sanders at 81. Zanca-McDonald is a 78 and Carr is a 77. Josh smith and Kendrick have not been evaluated. Carr is listed as a DT but most analyst project him as a DE still. Our class is coming together well so far and with more wins in the win column this fall our recruiting should sky rocket.

On the Vandy note- we have as many players committed as they do and have more 4* than they do. They have more three stars because all of their prospects have been evaluated.
