Everyone had UT counted out, including national analysts and mods on multiple services. I loved Dooley, but we were dead in the water with a guy who grew up a Vol fan. Then BuTch comes in and beats out the 3-time (recently) national champions and undefeated OSU with an all time great recruiter as their head coach.
Booooooooooooooooooom!

If The Butcher can go head-to-head with the likes of Urban Meyer and Nick Saban and WIN for a 5* prospect after only being on the job for 2 1/2 months, I can't even begin to imagine what he's gonna do in 2014 and 2015. It's becoming quite clear that Butch has the personality and work ethic to get it done, and that he will succeed greatly in recruiting.
I'm on cloud nine right now. Go Vols

Regardless of who winds up signing with Tennessee on NSD, the fact remains that Jones has gotten UT in the picture with several recruits who were completely off the radar when Dooley was in charge, and in the process UT has been mentioned a lot on recruiting websites, radio, and tv (including ESPN) during this recruiting frenzy. The more UTs name gets put out there as a topic of discussion, the more recruits will (at least subconsciously) consider the program as a legitimate contender.
