I want to ask this board what y'all think. Is it weird for a UT fan to get a English bulldog? The reason I ask is,I have always wanted one since I was a kid and I'm thinking about getting one and my UGA friend says that is just wrong, that a UT fan shouldn't have a bulldog period especially one who hates UGA as much as me. What do you guys think?

I think that's a pretty big stretch , if that was the case McCarron wouldn't be banging the quickest rising person on twitter cause she went to auburn

They are awesome dogs and always get a lot of attention when you take them for a walk. BUT, as you may already know, they have a fairly short life expectancy, and put some cash away for the inevitable significant vet bills. English Bulldogs are notorious for developing respiratory problems, skin issues, hip and leg problems. They are great dogs, but you should make sure you are up for the potential vet expense..
Outside of that, no issue with owning that breed. There are lots of bulldog mascots outside of UGA as well, so UGA fan needs to get over himself.

Well Tracy, I already have an English springer spaniel named Smokey. So I have to find something else. This is not my dog but the one on the right could be his twin.

Yeah I've been doing my research and my mother in-law works at a vet and my brothers sister in-law works at a vet 5 mins from my work but that's for the info.

Getting a dog is an important commitment...or at least it should be. Do your research and get the right breed for you whatever it is.
