Who Are Your Top 3 Running Back Choices?

Mine are:
1. Jonathan Ford-I just like his game better and it never hurts to put Vandy back in their place.
2. Derrick Green-He is a load and it would be interesting to see how CBJ, B'Jake, and CJG would use him in the new offense.
3. Surprise-I think these guys are too organized and dynamic in their approach to recruiting not have a surprise possibility at RB.

Same here. If we're talking about realistic choices I'd go:
1) Green
2) Ford
3) Wilkins/Barber
I really like Wilkins even more than Ford but the injury I would move him down a spot.

Kamara would be my #1 on the list. I think he would be perfect for a Butch Jones offense. Plus, hearing the way he talks about his future, the kid sounds like he wants to out work everyone around him. JMO

Fair enough. I'm just looking for a guy that can get there. Give me 4 yards consistently and occasionally 12. If you sneak in a 20, great. If not, I can live with simply moving the chains.

I want a guy who can convert 3rd & 3. That's why I wanted Henry so bad 6 months ago and that's why I want Green so bad now.

Green to me seems like that classic UT running back doesn't he? He may not fit into this offense as well as maybe a Ford or Kamara but he can flat out carry the rock.

He may not fit the mold of guys we are use to seeing in offenses like this, but I definitely think he would be very effective. He's the kind of guy you build an offense around, and I'm sure Butch and Coach Jake have a good plan for how they'd use him.

I would put Kamara up in front of Green if I thought he was a shot and move Kemp off my list. We need a back that will be good in the zone running scheme. To me Green is a downhill runner that is not as dynamic in space. Why did we like CP so much? He was fun to watch in space. Give me someone to make me say wow at! Green is an exceptional running back and I would love to have him. Just not my first choice.

+1 on Green being able to move the chains but at some point there has to be a threat of a breakout run or they will cheat up and make it harder to get the 4. Don't get me wrong; there will be a great big grin and some fist pumping in Tyrone Georgia if we get him.

That's when you sneak Pig or a TE behind the LBs, first down. Or if they get cute with a safety, hit North or Croom 30 yards downfield. When you've got a guy that the front 7 is having trouble with, Pandora's box opens. It is nice to have a guy with another gear though, I see your point. How bout this, why not both?
