I get the fines, the lose of draft picks but I don't think suspending them for any amount of time really helps the NFL much. There has already been enough criticizm of Godell and the way he handles players and hits. I think he's getting a little over excited in this case. Bellicheck was caught cheating with Spygate, which he received a fine and lost draft picks but not suspension.
I think this is excessive.
