This time tomorrow I will be editing the rosters and playing NCAA 13. Last year I spent 46 straight hours and edited the entire NCAA roster. I am debating on doing that again. It was brutal. LIfe of a teacher with summer's off though.

I did that myself back in the day. It's easier now with the roster dowloads available, but all I do now is go through all of the SEC & adjust their rosters to reflect the real lineup. Switching defenses up, re-rating incoming freshman (according to 247 & ESPN ratings of course), & adjusting other top national players if needed.
When I was single I was able to devote more time to all of that. In fact, I had a running experiment for 3 years where I would simulate all of the virutal games to reflect the ongoing W/L results of that season. Then, once I was able to match up the real results of each week on the game, I would simulate the next week's games about 10 times on the XBOX & it would be about 85% accurate on predicting the upcoming W/L results.

In 2001 or 02 I attempted to play through an entire season with all the teams to have them finish their season with the records they obtained during the year. 2002, I believe. I didn't finish it but I did get through about 5 weeks. That was the joy of deployment at sea.

True i tried the same thing last year in Iraq, only made it to week 3 couldnt let Florida beat me lol

I was good for a "Florida Sucks" or "Alabama Sucks" dynasty as well.
I would take over the team and accidentally lose every game until they fired me. I didn't recruit anyone during that timeframe as well.
Haven't done one of those in a while!

This game is awesome. Tennessee is actually decent to play with for the first time in a long time. I don't agree w some player ratings but such is life. One that really blows my mind is Waggner (49) being weaker than Bray (62). Bray and Jacques Smith are the same speed. DaRick is faster than Hunter. Etc etc John Propst is faster than Lathers too. I know it's impossible to be perfect in rating guys but it's comical.

Wow. That is pretty bad. That said, I'm fired up to get the game and check out the new recruiting system. It looks pretty awesome.

EA should send a ballot to writers for each team and have them rate guys on the roster. No one knows the teams better than the guys who cover them. I don't know but there has got to be a better way. Guys aren't even in the correct positions. Another complaint is the rOsters need to be larger, 60 is not enough. Teams get 85 scholarships and I think all the schollie players deserve a spot on the game.
