Why hasn't CP announced his decision?

  • Been awhile now and he hasn't really said much at all. I wonder if he's really thinking about coming back.

I thought the same thing if Bray and Patterson are locks to the NFL then why havn't they announced already like Hunter did?

I really think if Patterson comes back next year then he is a lock to be a top five pick. Clowney would obviously be the first pick next year if he comes out.

  • Been wondering the same thing. I guess the rumors about him not attending class might not be true?????

Would it help or hurt recruiting if he announced? Might it make us more attractive to top tiered WRs if he left?

  • No student who stops attending class (allegedly) can pass their classes...if he's back the NCAA will look into grades of all student athletes and will find something if allegations of his attendance is accurate.

Other than message board rumor are there any credible allegations?

NCAA doesn't randomly check attendance. Someone would have to report to them that he didn't attend and was given grades (ie. special consideration/benefits). To my knowledge NCAA also has no attendance policy so any such policy would be policed by the University. If the NCAA checked attendance at every school, no one would be eligible to play.

  • What I'm saying is someone who misses as entire semester, including exams cannot pass.
As for the rumors I heard about people who are in the know.
But heck I'd love for it all to be false and CP coming back.

As someone who just graduated in August I assure you this is not the case. I would say 70% of my classes at UT including a lot of upper division business courses are all passable easily as long as you study for the exams, even if you never even attend or read the material. If a football player goes to a professor and says he was planning to go pro but now is thinking of coming back there are very few professors who wouldn't at least give him a chance to pass. I know multiple people who made up the mid-term and final in the last three weeks of the course just by being honest and remorseful when they meet with the professor. Most of those guys aren't trying to screw you(that crazy lady in BA 342 excluded).
