He's got good size and a good attitude. Even if he was a five-star, he would need to come in and go to work. I hope his enthusiasm carries over to those early morning workouts and conditioning sessions. That's when stars go out the window and force of will makes real players. Vols!!

I agree. All of those people who made it clear they weren't impressed with Wiesman at the time he committed might change their tune a bit now. I'm sure some won't, but some might.

did state lose a recruit late or what? just wondering why they decided to offer him this late in the game. especially considering the size of this young man

Not a guarantee, but if his work ethic, is a direct reflection of his attitude, he very well could end up being an underrated recruit. Also may be a great example of *ratings not telling all the story.

Nice write up Ryan. This kid is solid VFL. Although we have a new head coach and staff, there is still a good bit of continuity among our coaches. Though I was concerned in the beginning about CBJ bringing in so many of his assistants, I now think this is and will be beneficial in recruiting and Xs and Os. I'm just really getting the impression that Butch will get these kids to run through brick walls for him. That's something that has definitely been lacking in Knoxville lately. Orange. GO VOLS!

I agree. I thought CDD was trying his best to build a program the "right" way, but obviously he wasn't connecting with his players somehow or other. To have them quit on him so many times is evidence of that. I don't think anybody will quit on Butch Jones. I'm a fat 43 year old, and he's got me fired up to play for him!
