Sounds to me like Auburn is his choice and Granham and Dooley are going to have to put on the best recuriting job they have done so far to get him to switch. Been out of touch on here for about a month, but did the Vols offer the QB from Matthews NC anything and if know why not. They said he had everything they were looking for, so if that is so, what not make the offer. Farve is not coming out off retirement, so UT cannot get him so why are they waiting for on this QB, if they are still waiting. Dooley should make Trooper Taylor a con tract next year or this year he couldn't refuse and get him back in Orange. Hart should get involved in getting Trooper back also!! Open the cash drawer and you will see what this guy can do for us, not to us as he has the past two (2) season's. Getting Trooper back would be like getting the #1, 2 & 3 top picks of prospects natio wide!!

Tennessee did extend an offer to Riley Ferguson, the quarterback you referenced, and he committed to the Vols about a week and a half ago. You can find our commitments list at the top of the page under "Football Recruiting."

If he comes on campus, you never know what may happen. However, it sounds like we definitely have ground to make up. If I remember correctly, we were recruiting him and then sort of backed off...i believe he said we called him out of the blue after not hearing much for a couple months...that may end up hurting us. Would hate for Vandy to end up getting him.

This seems to be a battle of the tigers, Auburn and Clemson.
