Woolridge?

  • Wes, Kevin, Ryan, any of you have any idea what happened to Woolridge last night if anything? He played for a minute early on but never stepped foot on the floor again. Just wondering if there is anything to it.

  • he tweeted at midnight that he will miss UTK

Very interesting. I mean, the kid hasn't been on the floor much at all the last few games, albeit after his best performance of the season. Odd.

No idea about playing time, but I think the tweet was just talking about being a senior.

  • Yes it was about his senior year. He said he just took a trip down memory lane and Tweeted about how much he'd miss Knoxville but that he'd always represent UT and the Vols in Hollywood or wherever.

  • Personally I like his effort on the floor. Even though he got off track due to his rap career he still tried to represent UT. He loves this school and Knoxville. I want him to get out there And be successful just like we saw at Rupp. He's a good kid and for the most part stayed out of trouble. I hope everything is alright with him.

  • Also it baffled me that he didn't play especially after the foul trouble we got in late there in the second half. I'm just confused I guess. But coach Zo has his reasons for what he does he is an intelligent man.

Coach Martin has been doing this with different guys all season....Some games certain guys play and others haven't, I think who Coach Martin plays and who he doesn't in the games is HEAVILY dictated by the scouting report and the other teams strengths and weaknesses.

  • As others have said, different guys play on different nights, depending on matchups and what's working.

Cuonzo likes Woolridge. He just wishes the guy had been developed better.

Wasn't trying to give missinformation... my bad.

  • I think the last staff kinda let him focus to much on music instead of basketball which is why we gave him a scholarship for was to play basketball not rap i would guess to say Cuonzo would have maybe worked with him more and turned him into a player he has some good talent and could have been a good outside shooter. He has been a good kid while here at Tennessee and represented the university well i wish him all the best where ever his career takes him and would like to see him get some good minutes while he is here finishing his college career.GO VOLS!!vols

Thanks Wes. I just wanted to make sure there wasn't some kind of injury or anything that hadn't come out yet. Appreciate it! And Hank2 is right. He was underdeveloped and COULD have been a great outside shooter. He's 6'9 and extremely athletic. He could have been dangerous. The youth and their darn flabbin' rap music! grumble

  • really always liked the kid for some reason and continue to wish him success
