just watched worley and peterman throwing to each other. peterman had significantly more zip! also from what i hear the velocity of petermans passes are significantly better than worly's! not saying worly has a rag for an arm just saying i have heard petermans is as strong or stronger than brays!

I heard there was a 3-4 mph difference and that both passed the NFL speed test of 50mph.

It is what it is but all this seems like misdirected effort. Why scratch a prolific offensive system to bring in something new? . . we are fixing that which was not broken. This time next year we'll all be saying "I bet by 2014 the players will have the hang of the Cinci system and we'll be putting up 24 a game!!"

Should have fixed the defense and let Chaney continue his work. Sour grapes I know . . . just don't see this CMU/Cinnci pipeline working out for us. And definitely do not see why we paid them . . an unproven group of coaches . . a king's ransom. Hart's performance since November compared to those at Auburn and Arkansas is laughable.

Your entitled to your opinion Gene but to say "an unproven group of coaches" I don't get. How can you say Gus Malzahn is a better hire than CBJ and talk about unproven at the same time.

Believe you, bear, but wondering if you can cite a source. I love measurables on athletes, but I loathe the rumor mill. Again, not suggesting that you, or anyone for that matter, would consciously "bend" the facts, but if there is an article or something about the QB's velocity, I'd love to read it.

Otherwise, I thought Worley showed great potential as a freshman. He can throw good balls. At that point, it was hard to see him after losing Bray, but he will be stronger and more savvy as a junior. As bear says, don't overlook Worley. He has skills.

And really, if Peterman can take the starting job, that will show just how well he can play, NOT how unfit Worley would be to play in the SEC. I really look forward to hearing how this QB battle plays out. I REALLY hope we have an incoming freshman RB or two, and maybe a RS freshman RB ready to push for time at TB.

Unless you think we should have stayed with DD (surely not?) I don't know who you would hire that would have accepted a condition of retaining or staffing with a pre selected roster for the staff. Any HC you would hire would want to choose his own assistants. Time will tell but at least this guy has a record of success. And not everybody started out at a perennial power. In fact virtually no one does.

It was posted on here and I think RC may have verified but can't say for sure. I will try to find the original thread when I have some more time.

Agree 100% huey the Utah pipelines (Urban Meyer) and Houston (Kelvin Sumllin) came from worked out pretty well. Everybody was on the Charlie Strong wagon and he coaches in the same conf. CBJ came from and I think CBJ was 2-1 against him. Time will tell but I think we made the best hire in CFB this year.clap
