Couple of things: he is a three-star - if Jones and company recruit like they will need to, he would never have seen the field anyway; we lost a guy whose only other offers were Duke, Missouri, and Florida International - not the critical recruiting battles we hope to be in down the road if we plan on being competitive. Good luck Mr. Zanca. Go Vols!!!

First real positive sign for me is that maybe this staff if going back to fast LB's. Really thought the bigger slower LB's were a mistake even for the 3-4. Hate the spread offense but love fast swarming LB's.

Do you think there is any way we can get carl lawson? Is Jones even looking at him? Since he is committed to Auburn, do you think our new Staff from Auburn will go after him?
Carl Lawson, 6'3" 245lbs, 4.7-40 5 Star DE..? Could we have any pull on this guy?

If I'm Jones, I spend a major amount of my recruiting time trying to pull some commits from Auburn.
Could our Auburn guys pull recruits like Jason Smith, and Dee Liner?

Obviously this isn't a loss to cry about, but I think a lot of people on this board might look really silly in two years or so for bashing this kid. Say what you want about the talent that CDD recruited, but most of the kids who earned offers at camps seemed to perform pretty well here, and the LB evaluations seem to have been pretty solid (Peters started games at Arky, Bynum and Lewis looked good before tearing ACL's).

After reading a few comments about his haircut and earring, something about earrings and Coach Cutcliffe was in the back of my mind. Here is a GREAT read on Cutcliffe and Ainge . . . toward the end of the story it mentions Cutcliffe telling Ainge to lose the earring and get a haircut. My guess is that Zanca will be sporting a new look whenever we see him with Duke.
