I added my downvote to this as well. Zo DOES understand the talent level necessary to compete, we just are not a historically dominating basketball school. There have been patches of very good basketball, but a lot of mediocre and bad basketball, too. It takes a long, long time to change the culture of the team from good to greatness. Pearl was on the way to establishing something longlasting, but he got sidetracked by lying about a damn barbecue. CCM may or may not be the one to get us to the next level, but it is WAY to early for judgement...in my opinion, anyway. Go Vols!

Yes it's very clear he and many other vol fans are not happy people I have a feeling it might have to do more with there personal life than the state of the vol program. Hate to get personal but it just feels like some of these people just aren't happy people.

I like CCM. I like what he stands for, his professionalism, and his integrity. That being said, it was disappointing tonight. Frustrating actually. I do wonder if CCM can get the level of talent we need to get to be a consistent tournament team, which I don't think is an unreasonable expectation. I agree, next year is critical. Hopefully stokes will stay and with the addition of hubbs we will be a top 25 team. I also recognize that the loss of maymon has had a major impact on our results. Not making excuses for Zo, but you can't discount the significance of his absence. Here's hoping for CCMs success..

Your right I do live in fantasy land. I live in the heart of wine country (sonoma county california) own my own successful business, travel frequently across this beautiful continent, have a beautiful significant other that loves me, eat locally grown organic food, call all of my own shots. I control my world and don't listen to negativity, positive thinking got me here, you have no idea how many people told me I was crazy and couldn't do it when I started my own company and if I had listened to them I'd be nowhere. Negativity is a product of fear, I understand you fear about our program man but there are other things in life than just this game that YOU aren't playing in. If not living in reality is not allowing the state of a sports (its just a game) program turn me into a negative fear driven hater, then yes I enjoy my fantasy world where logic,positive energy, and thought helps me to be successful. I relish celebrate and love our success as a program and brush off the failures cause its not that big of a deal. FWIW I desperately want to become a powerhouse again but will not allow myself to sink to a haters level. but I guess haters are just gonna hate.

Pretty sure that bruce pearl himself said that he couldnt do as well as martain did last year i say some people are freaking out over nothing the guy can recruit or you wouldnt haven been able to recruit the oh so great 5 star players

No I think we need to stick with him for at least 4 years and see what he can do. Last year he was second in the SEC! What more do you want? He found a guy like Richardson as a 3 star. He has signed 2 5 stars. He is getting his guys just give a coach some time around here! I'm sure they only reason our fans didn't jump off the Serrano ship last year is cause he has won championships already!

What's funny is these posters that are so negative about our sports were probably just as negative about Kiffen. Funny thing is they seem to me as narcissistic and holier than though as Kiffen himself!
