I can't believe how many people's lists don't include Bama.

IMO, they should be everyone's #1.

    rant

I really was gonna list a #2. I always think that I detest Florida or Kentucky or Auburn or Georgia in some discernible order but I find that when they come to town, I loath them all equally. I really dislike Ohio State and especially those obnoxious idiots who fly their flags on their rented boats as they disturb peace on our lakes in the summer time. I dislike USC for obvious reasons, though I really respected the program until a couple years ago.

But seeing crimson raises my blood pressure. I find that my hatred of bama is so overwhelming that it completely distorts my view of all other obnoxious schools, rendering it impossible for me to list them, let alone rank them.

    I'll hang up and listen.

1.Boise st, tcu, utah- really despise the teams that never play anyone and want to get considered for a national championship 2. Alabama- that should speak for itself 3. Florida- again should speak for itself 4. Ohio st, southern cal- they always think they are good but really they are pathetic and play in even worse conferences 5. Duke- mainly because of basketball and their coach reminds me of satan

I think your list is flawed personally. Utah now plays in the Pac-12 so they play people now. Also they did beat Bama in the Sugar Bowl.... They were a good team. This year they aren't doing much but mainly due to injuries and they lost some players last year.

Boise State will also play anyone at anytime. People don't want to do a home and home with them since they have to play on the Blue turf. Maybe my view is flawed since I live in Utah, but people always want to beat up on teams in smaller conferences. Is it really their fault no one wants to play them out of conference?

    My list:
    1. Bama
    2. Bama
    3. Florida
    4. Auburn
    5. Bama

    4. Ohio St (censored)
    5. Penn St (their fans actually believe they could dominate the SEC....no joke)

Boise st may want to play anyone anytime but they never do. Is that their fault?? Yes I think it is because if they were smart they would be pushing to get into the big 12 since the big east will probably lose their aq status after this year. Utah would still be dominating inside the mwc even with the injuries and loss of seniors because that conf is terrible. That is just my opinion though. With utah losing so much in the pac 12 it gives me more ammo against teams like that but I am biased because football is vastly different in the sec. Utah may have beaten bama but a team can win one game.......look at our vols who almost pulled out the win in 09 at bama. So that argument that utah beat them or boise st beat oklahoma or tcu beat wisconsin doesn't really carry any water with me.

I agree with you. We almost beat LSU last year and I think everyone could agree that we shouldn't have been anywhere close to winning that game in Baton Rouge based on talent and depth. What makes the SEC the best conference is that there are a multitude of very good teams that you have to play week in and week out. Boise State doesn't have to contend with the attrition and injury SEC teams do when they're blowing out most of the teams they play. Good teams can win any tough game on a given Saturday. Great teams can do it every week. Until Boise State goes through a guantlet comparable to an AQ conference I don't think they belong in the National Championship conversation.

  • I do find it funny how so many people want to penalize Boise since they are not located in the Southeast. They have a good coaching staff and a group of players that play tough football. A school can't just demand to be in a better conference, but everyone wants to make them have to pay for it. Silly

I am shocked and dissapointed that no one shares my disgust for boise st.....I really hate those guys lol

I understand what you're saying about Boise and others but I have always enjoyed watching Boise St. play ball. I like their brand of football. Maybe it's their blue field IDK. Enjoy watching them take down top opponents. Don't think they could do it on a consistent basis but they certainly get up when they get the opportunity. Now my list:
    1. Clemson
    2. Florida
    3. USC east and west
    4. Ohio St
    5. Miami

Silly you say? So you how do you think they would fair going up against lsu/bama/USC/Ark/Ga/Fla in back to back to back to back weeks? Think they would come out undefeated? Think with the schedule they play they deserve a shot at a BCS bowl? National Title?

Got a better one for you....Let Boise and Tenn switch conferences last year. Tenn goes undefeated, Boise goes 6-6....still think we deserve a shot?

I can never say this enough.....IF GOING UNDEFEATED PLAYING WYOMING EVERY WEEK GETS YOU INTO THE NATIONAL TITLE THEN DOESNT EVERYONE DO IT?!?!?!?!?!?

    Sorry....thats how much I hate those guys.....gun

I don't believe they would be undefeated week in and week out, but they are undefeated and they handled GA wouldn't you say? I would love for them to play LSU or Bama. I am in no means saying they could handle the SEC but I am sure they wouldn't go 6-6 in a season I would honestly say 9-3 easily. They are a much better team people in the South want to give them credit for.

  • Boise would absolutely win the East this year. Easily. They'd be the third best team in the SEC this year.

4th best team. I think Arkansas would give them a run for their money. Boise St. probably doesn't have the depth to survive a rigorous SEC onslaught either.

  • Arkansas really isn't that good. Boise would beat them by two TDs.

The SEC is the most top heavy I've ever seen it. Rolling through an SEC schedule this year just doesn't mean that much right now, and Boise definitely has the depth to deal with it. They would get rolled by Bama and LSU (and who wouldn't) but that's it.

I just have a reeeeeeaaaaaal hard time thinking or believing they would only lose 3 games in the SEC. They might play well in a conference they are in but look at the recruiting they have done. Not one time have they ever been in the top 25 of recruiting. The SEC always has 7-9 teams in the top 25 of recruiting. And like I said, Utah is my point proven...they have 5 seniors playing, and 6 juniors playing. They are getting stomped in the Pac 12. They might have one loss in the MWC. They beat GA by 14 points and like I stated before a good team can win one game. Dont get me wrong, I think they are a good team, I think they are well coached but the bottom line is there is no way to prove that are either good or bad since they never play anyone.

TCU is the same way. The Big east is the same way now lol. That conference is going to be horrible which is why they are going to lose their AQ status. They dont deserve credit from anyone, anywhere because they never play anyone....thats the bottom line.

Arkansas is good.... No way Boise St. beats them by two tds. No way Boise St. survives the schedule Arkansas has played. Boise St. isn't built to handle 8 games in the sec. They had a lot of time to prepare for Georgia.

What has Arkansas done that's impressive besides getting outplayed for most of the day and scrambling to come from behind to beat an A&M team that will probably finish with 5 or 6 losses?

Also, Arkansas's strength off schedule is in the sixties. Boise's is in the low thirties. For that matter, Boise also currently has a higher SOS than Bama and South Carolina, which is obviously change tomorrow.

I laugh every time I hear "Boise couldn't handle an SEC schedule". 2007 is the last time I can remember a legitimately loaded SEC. Since then it's been 2 real contenders and then a huge gap until the mediocre teams and the conference as a whole gets overhyped because its best team has been the best team in the country. This year the SEC has 2 great teams, 1 good team, and that's it. Put Boise St in the East and give them UGA's SECW schedule and they go undefeated.

I disagree... That's all I will say. They wouldn't have the quality depth to survive the sec schedule. Arkansas, USC, Auburn, and Georgia are all quality good sec teams. It's not that top heavy. Lsu and bama are just that good.

SOS? The only reason it is in the thirties is because the teams they play have to play the bama's of the NCAA. Look at it by the end of the season and it will be in the ninetys.
