I'm just hoping Wes and Ryan get this one right and their expert opinions hold true for the Vols. I also hope this is the last year beating teams as bad as Mizzou, at least this year, are not a guarantee. GO VOLS, lets win big!!!

To give my 2 cents, UT invested 6+ months installing this defense and had slight success with it during the first two games. So every single first year Vol, freshmen and JUCO transfers, have played in nothing except this style at UT. Additionally, Sal hasn't coached anything but the 3-4 for quite some time. Now I completely see sticking to it through the UGA game, but at that point we are addressing to many personnel changes to completely change the defensive philosophy. I think they could have made strides to be more traditional during all of the talk about simplifying the scheme, but completely abandoning the system didn't make sense then. At this point, I don't feel there is enough time or experience or confidence left on the defense to undergo a radical change to the scheme. At this point, the have to man up and separate the men from the boys with what they have.
