The Bulls and Knicks both lost players to ACL injuries in their playoff openers yesterday. I don't remember ever seeing that type of injury to start the playoffs for any team, let alone two in the same year/day...

Yeah that was absolutely insane/heart breaking...I like Rose and think he is such a great player, its a blow to see him go down even for just an NBA fan. Rose was just snakebit this year, I can only hope it doesn't affect him long term

The Preds look awful. Before the playoffs started, I know a lot of folks in Nashville were hoping they'd draw Phoenix in the first round. Looks like they are gonna be down 0-2 here in about 8 minutes.

Just a beautiful weekend weather wise. My wife and I took our 2 boys to the park and had a blast today. Bring on summer.

The Preds just got outplayed. The defense was porous — Kevin Klein and Roman Josi had particularly glaring mistakes — and David Legwand set up a goal by catching the puck with his glove behind the net and, for some reason, throwing it straight in front of the net. Phoenix just played faster and better for most of the game.
It's bad enough that Phoenix outplayed Nashville tonight, but the Preds really blew their chance to steal a game in Phoenix in Game 1. They didn't dominate that game, but they did completely dominate the third period and overtime enough to win.

It's on HBO, based on the fantasy series by George R.R. Martin. It is probably the best series on TV right now. The current king is an cruel idiot boy and there are wars, intrigue and endless schemes ongoing toward who wants to be the next to sit on the "iron throne."

I just wanted to mourn the last season of House. My favorite screen-writing ever. I'd like to recall the season finale two parter from a few years ago "House's Head"/"Wilson's Heart" that was probably the most enthralling 2 hours of network TV ever to grace the screen.
RIP HOUSE M.D, and phooey to you FOX for not accepting the first offer pitch for another season and then just dragging your feet until you eventually just pulled the plug.

This is actually the second season for Game of Thrones. If you haven't read any of the books, I'd recommending checking out the HBO website for the show:
