    Coach Dooley has said that 7-5 "is a real good year?" That is news to me. In the interviews and stories I've read, it appears to me that he is more frustrated than any of us could imagine.

    I agree. I think he is very frustrated and obviously not content, but I just don't know if he can fix it.

    I would be really worried if he wasn't frustrated. I'm not sure he totally believes he can fix it and that is troublesome to say the least.

  • I don't believe your post is true at all. Dooley has never said 7-5 is a good year. IF Hart doesn't replace Dooley, you can bet it's for good reason. I watched Hart for several years when he was in Tuscaloosa and I promise you, he is a helluva lot smarter than you insinuated. The man knows what he's doing, he does it professionally and at his own timing, not at the beckoning of posts on message boards.

Win out and win a bowl game and you're 8-5 and that's not a bad year" he said it after the game Sat and Pennington and the rest of the crew from the Sunday Sports Source were talking about it as well. Just sayin

    'pretty good year'...'not a bad year' or 'real good year'. I hope you can see the difference. I also think it would be 'not a bad year'. Many and I mean many on this site said as much at the beginning of the year and not the least of them was Wes(7-5). I could care less what Pennington and his 'crew' have to say. They would step on UT's neck if they thought they could get one tenth of a point on their ratings.

    To honest with you I could really care less what you think!!! The only thing I was getting at before people start DV posters or basically calling people liars get your info straight. He may have heard wrong I don't know but I do know that saying not a bad year and a good year is pretty damn close to the same thing! But go ahead if you want to and get all pissy if you want I could really care less what you think I'm just stating facts

    Trust me I look over all UT fans (myself included) right now were all pissed and on edge right now. It hurts right now being UT fan. You gotta look over me at times like this to. No hard feelings here.

    No hard feeling here and I hurt also. I probably have more experience hurting for our Vols given being a fan for over 55 years. As my runway gets shorter I just have more perspective on where to put my beloved Vols on my priority list and that helps me. Can't speak for you and wouldn't try. There was a time when a loss absolutely destroyed my weekend but not now.

    La. Tech wouldn't have him. They are rolling right now. A 2point loss to TX A&M in a shootout is their only loss on the season.

    Who said anything about 'settling' for 7-5. Those who make their living evaluating and writing about teams said they thought that would be our record. I know you may not want to hear that it was a major rebuilding job but in that context it is progress.

    WOW!! It's been about 25 yrs for so this is my 1st taste watching the Vols being down this bad and yes I have become so upset before after losses that I've had to go to bed from being literally physically sick. I've nit been a season ticket holder for a real long time but man how things have changed in that span. What bothers me more than anything is all these yrs I've told my 2 daughters who are now 8 & 11yrs old how great the Vols are and they've never really got witness it yet but they're still excited every Sat when we head for the ballgame even though I think my youngest is fired up just because she gets to go see Smokey come running out of the T! hahaha!

    I agree,somewhat. Dooley did lay down a foundation there for the current success. Would they be 7-1 if he was still there though? 3 years removed. Not too much credit can go to him for this year's success IMO.
