The love for Hinshaw is beyond me.

I think Chaney has a 20% chance of being retained. Well respected OC, would provide some continuity on offense, and would save the school some money. Blaming the OC of a team that will most likely have 2 WR's and a QB drafter in the first 2 rounds and a TE drafted seems a little odd to me.

(1) Tee Martin is not Peyton Manning [not hating, just saying] (2) Easy with the "dumb" stuff. Let's try to be adults. Also - if a person has not proven to recruit at lesser school, why is he considered a great recruiter? (3) Todd Kelly Jr. is a legacy and lives in K'ville - of course He remembers. Check out the article about Dooley's recruiting (Chattanooga paper?) to hear what the other in-state players say about whether they remember the glory days [wish they all did, but they don't]. (4) Ramsey recently said he did not like Dooley at all. So - he was not coming to UT no matter what. Not trying to start arguments, but if we want UT to win, we shouldn't be throwing out proven people just to bring back UT alums [even if they did win a NC to be fair]. If they are good, fine. Graham proved himself at USC and elsewhere prior. I just think Hinshaw is a good option and there may be other options out there better than Tee [or even both of them]. Probably a mute point because, if an offensive minded coach is hired, he likely brings in his own people anyway.

Martin's receivers out-performed Hinshaw's this season. Hunter hasn't lived up to his potential and Patterson's route running isn't very good. Both have dropped a few important passes and both have struggled to get open against good opponents.

Lee has 7 games with at least 10 receptions. Hunter has 0.

Woods has 10 games with at least 5 receptions. Patterson has 3.

Fair points, but USC's receivers were pretty good before Martin got there (did not recruit either of the big ones). They also weren't coming off reconstructive knee surgery (in Hunter's case) and weren't 1st year D-1 players (Patterson). USC also did not play AL, UGA, USCe, and UF. I think we all can agree that there is a reason the SEC has won so many consecutive national titles. Could be a bit of an overstatement, but about the only team I can think of that plays close to comparable defense in the PAC is Stanford. Even with that, USC only scored 3 more receiving TDs all year than UT (38 USC -- 35 UT) and UT had more receiving yards per game overall (315 UT -- 296 USC) - in a better conference vs better defenses. But again, fair points.

Not sure how saying comparing UT to KY in recruiting is dumb makes me any less of an adult, but I'll keep my opinion. Hinshaw as QB coach would be our best option IMO
